Dr. John Kuhnlein

Dr. Kuhnlein is a specialist in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He finished his residency in Occupational Medicine at the University of Oklahoma in 1990, where he received a Master’s Degree in Public Health. While living in Sioux City, Iowa, he helped found the Siouxland Safety Council. Dr. Kuhnlein then practiced in Cleveland, Ohio for five years, where he was the president of Kuhnlein, Martin, and Tipton, a clinical practice in Occupational Medicine. After living in Omaha for eight years, he moved to the Ankeny area in 2005

Recently Dr. Kuhnlein served on a Task Force at the request of the Iowa Worker’s Compensation Commissioner addressing the use of the 5th Edition of the Guides as opposed to the 6th Edition of the Guides

Dr. Kuhnlein has extensive experience in occupational medicine, from the clinical examination room to the executive boardroom. He is currently in the private practice of occupational medicine and is the president and founder of Medix Occupational Health Services in Ankeny Iowa
